MY YOGA PROFILE Berta Gudjons is a qualified Yoga Alliance UK (SYT) High Standard senior Yoga teacher. She has over 20 years experience teaching yoga and fitness.
After many years of teaching fitness, Berta decided to change her hectic lifestyle and look for a total fitness workout that would be both challenging and calming for body and mind. She went on a journey and studied Yoga in different parts of the world, India, USA, UK, Scandinavia and France. She found what she was looking for, in a physical and dynamic style of yoga called ASHTANGA or Power Yoga which appealed to her and seemed to offer everything she had been looking for.
Berta immediately observed great changes in herself, both physically and mentally. This workout has turned to a passion to introduce more people to this healthier, more focused fitness program that continue to challenge them to grow in spirit and physique.
Berta has developed her own Yoga style through her 20 year’s experience teaching all age and levels. Her simple yoga exercise techniques which she imparts in a dynamic, yet compassionate and playful manner. Berta always has the need to develop in her teaching. She has now gone deeper with her teaching by combined Yoga and Sophrology together.
Sophrology means "the science of the consciousness in harmony"Now Berta feels she have the right tecniques and tools to help people to get stronger in body and mind, to develop peace of mind and life in harmony.
1987-1997 Running her own health club, teaching aerobics and weight training, Iceland.
1991-2002 Teaching Power Yoga in ‘World Class’ the largest gym in Reykjavik, Iceland.
2001-2002 Teaching at David Lloyd’s health and fitness club, Portsmouth, United Kingdom.
2002-2015 Teaching Power Yoga in Nice, South of France.
2010-2011 Goa, India practicing and exploring different styles of Yoga and meditation.
2011-2014 Sophrology Academy, Kent, England. Graduation as an Sophrologist
